Financial Controller (CA(SA) / AGA(SA))

About the role

Strong financial control creates confidence. Adept Advisory is seeking a technically accomplished Financial Controller to join the finance leadership team in Cape Town. The role offers exposure to strategic finance, business transformation and executive decision‑making while supporting the Finance Director.

Key responsibilities

• Lead group financial control, ensuring integrity of financial information through group reporting, consolidated statements, balance‑sheet management and profitability analysis.
• Oversee governance and compliance, managing external audits, tax compliance (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax), company secretarial duties, CIPC compliance and B‑BBEE reporting.
• Prepare and deliver business insight via monthly management reporting, consolidated and executive reporting, performance analysis and enhanced reporting capabilities.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including automation, process improvement, systems optimisation, consolidation tools and business intelligence reporting.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualified or experienced AGA(SA) professional.
• Four or more years post‑articles experience in a small or medium‑sized firm.
• Strong analytical thinking, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ownership, adaptability and a passion for continuous improvement.
