Financial Controller (CA SA) – Wealth & Investments (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

A leading investment firm in Johannesburg is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (South Africa) to manage the finance function of its Wealth Platform on a six‑month fixed‑term basis. The role involves full‑cycle accounting, statutory reporting, and providing financial insight to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial processing, reporting and accounting for statutory entities, including a Mauritian subsidiary.
• Coordinate group and statutory reporting for the Wealth Finance team and prepare consolidated reports.
• Manage interim audits and lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax filings (VAT, income tax) and internal controls.
• Maintain cash and investment processes to optimise shareholder returns.
• Lead and mentor a high‑performing finance team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• CA (SA) qualification with at least 5 years of post‑articles experience in financial services, preferably wealth management.
• Proven ability to work in deadline‑driven environments and manage cross‑functional projects.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
