Financial Adviser - Firebird Group

About the role

Sanlam Life Ltd is looking for a Financial Adviser for the Firebird Group. The adviser gives new and existing clients professional financial advice, planning and products suited to their needs, grows sustainable business in line with targets, and maintains long-term, loyal client relationships in a compliant and ethical way.

Key responsibilities

• Grow the adviser business by applying market segmentation and customer profile knowledge, meeting revenue and activity targets, promoting the Sanlam brand and treating customers fairly.
• Network, prospect and generate leads through face-to-face meetings, social and business networks, associations, presentations and social media, and turn trusted relationships into business relationships.
• Conduct comprehensive fact-finding and financial needs analysis, draw policy history, and give sound personal financial planning advice with a balanced portfolio.
• Present solutions professionally under Treating Customers Fairly, review portfolios annually, and follow up or refer client queries promptly.
• Keep client records up to date and report weekly or monthly on contacts, appointments, issued business, revenue against targets and workflow entries.

Required profile

• Grade 12.
• Completed FAIS "Fit and Proper" requirements and regulatory examination, and registered with the FSCA for more than 24 months.
• Effective communication, tech-savvy, action-oriented, persuasive and resilient, able to work independently.
