Financial Accountant

About the role

Element Six is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its global finance team. The role will manage financial reporting and consolidation for entities within the Element Six Group, ensuring high standards and strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain balance sheet, financial accounting records and monthly reporting for assigned Group entities.
• Prepare month‑end journals, allocations and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Own tax reporting requirements for specific Group entities.
• Prepare monthly consolidated results, including global site submissions and consolidation journals.
• Produce annual consolidated financial statements for the Element Six Abrasives Group under IFRS and statutory statements for designated entities.
• Lead the audit process for the Group and statutory entities.
• Continuously improve processes, streamline workflows and implement best practices.
• Ensure data accuracy, robust internal controls and compliance with Group policies, including Health & Safety.

Required profile

• BCom Finance, Accounting degree or Chartered Accountant qualification with consolidation experience.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive, process‑driven attitude with strong analytical curiosity.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
