Financial Accountant – Full Finance Function Across Multiple Entities

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing business based in Century City, is looking for a proactive Financial Accountant to own the full finance function across several entities. The role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a project‑driven environment and can work independently while meeting tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end accounting function for multiple entities.
• Maintain accurate financial records using Xero.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Execute journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and month‑end close processes.
• Support external auditors during audit engagements.
• Assist with basic tax compliance, including VAT and PAYE.
• Maintain and improve financial controls and processes.
• Handle multiple deadlines in a high‑growth environment.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting or Finance (essential).
• SAIPA articles preferred with approximately three years post‑articles experience or strong equivalent.
• Experience in full‑function accounting and management accounts preparation.
• Solid understanding of IFRS principles.
• Exposure to group structures, consolidations and multi‑entity environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero (cloud‑based accounting system).
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• Experience with group consolidations.
• Familiarity with project‑based or multi‑entity accounting.
• Experience in systems implementation or process improvement.
