Financial Accountant – Cape Town

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Financial Accountant to join a well‑established, growing finance team in Cape Town. The role offers the chance to apply your SAIPA articles experience in a commercial environment, handling month‑end reporting, budgeting and compliance tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage month‑end and year‑end reporting processes
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Assist with VAT, tax and statutory compliance
• Prepare for audits and liaise with external auditors
• Drive process improvement and internal control initiatives
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to management

Required profile

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification
• Completed SAIPA Articles (non‑negotiable)
• Minimum 2 years of commercial accounting experience post‑articles
• Strong academic record (distinctions, Dean’s List, Golden Key preferred)
• Stable career track record with analytical mindset
