Finance Systems Consultant (Remote)

About the role

A growing SaaS business, represented by Remote Choice, is looking for a Finance Systems Consultant. Its customer base is moving toward the mid-market, so the consultant must understand how customers will deploy the platform and integrate it with their finance systems. The role sits between Sales, Onboarding and Support and designs and delivers implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and set up tailored demonstrations, then deliver them and support technical scoping as customer discussions progress.
• Work with the Onboarding team on setup and design requirements, including SmartSync and premium integrations such as Sage Intacct and Microsoft Business Central.
• Build implementation plans and ensure they are executed correctly.
• Work with existing customers on migrations.
• Act as technical lead on challenging implementations and help customers get back on track after installation.
• Keep the knowledge base up to date and create or update training and support articles.
• Scope plugins and write reports.

Required profile

• 5-7+ years of relevant experience in Consulting, Customer Success or Technical Support.
• Possible backgrounds: IT Consultant, IT Manager, Finance Manager, or Finance SaaS / VAR Consultant.
• Strong communication skills, listening carefully to customer needs and explaining confidently.
• Innovative mindset, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and ability to work in a team.

Required skills

• SQL and Azure database management and maintenance, including Azure infrastructure.
• Office 365, including OneDrive and SharePoint.
• Windows servers and networking, including services and scheduled tasks.
• APIs and integration of business-critical applications.
• Knowledge of finance systems such as Sage Intacct and Microsoft Business Central, and of the proprietary integration tool SmartSync.
