Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance department of a well‑established financial services firm focused on growing South African SMEs. Reporting to the Commercial Director and working closely with the executive team, you will own the group’s accounting function and drive key financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead the Finance Department team.
• Ensure full IFRS compliance across all entities.
• Prepare monthly reports, annual financial statements and coordinate audit engagements.
• Oversee VAT, income tax returns and respond to SARS queries.
• Handle insurance matters, budgeting, and stakeholder reporting.
• Manage loan‑book operations including disbursements, collections, reconciliations and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Support asset & liability management, forecasting and ad‑hoc projects.
• Compile and present financial reports to Exco and the Board.

Required profile

• CA(SA) with at least 10 years of experience, or non‑CA(SA) with a minimum of 15 years, preferably in mid‑sized businesses.
• Proven leadership experience in a financial role.
• Strong analytical mindset, organized and meticulous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Full‑time, on‑site availability in Randburg.
