Finance & IT Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Finance & IT Manager who can operate at the intersection of finance, technology, data and business process automation. The role is not a traditional IT support or pure accounting position; it blends strong finance knowledge with a passion for IT systems, data and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the day‑to‑day IT function, manage systems, licensing, vendor contracts and user‑support escalations.
• Identify manual and repetitive processes across the organisation and design/implement automation solutions to eliminate them.
• Partner with the Finance team to improve systems and automate recurring financial and management reports, ensuring accuracy and auditability.
• Maintain IT asset registers, governance and basic information‑security controls.

Required profile

• Strong finance background – completed or partially completed SAICA or SAIPA articles, or a finance‑related degree.
• Hands‑on experience in IT, systems or data implementation, administration or development.
• Demonstrated ability to translate financial reporting requirements into practical technology solutions.

Required skills

• Process automation tools (RPA, scripting, workflow automation).
• Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate).
• SQL and data analysis.
