Finance: Controlling and Reporting – Project Opus

About the role

This position is responsible for finance controlling and reporting within Project Opus, a 13‑month fixed‑term initiative in South Africa. The role supports management reporting, forecasting and ensures compliance with local statutory and regulatory finance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver management reports, forecasts and key performance indicators.
• Lead the monthly S&OP forecast cycle, guaranteeing accurate and timely reporting.
• Provide expert guidance on local statutory and regulatory finance matters, including revenue recognition, tax compliance, accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial reporting.
• Ensure that local compliance requirements are embedded in the Project Opus design framework.
• Assess global finance processes against local statutory rules, identify gaps and propose exceptions.
• Escalate finance‑specific localisation needs to the global design team when required.
• Act as the single point of contact for finance localisation requests and coordinate with local finance SMEs and controllership teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance controlling, reporting and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of South African statutory and regulatory finance requirements.
• Ability to lead forecasting cycles and manage stakeholder coordination.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on accurate financial data and reporting.
