Finance Clerk – 12‑Month Temporary Role

About the role

This 12‑month temporary position offers an entry‑level opportunity to support the finance team with day‑to‑day financial administration. The role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in financial operations while working in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify and accurately record supplier invoices on spreadsheets and internal systems.
• Assist with BAS payment advice processes and ensure all supporting documents are signed off.
• Capture payments using LOGIS and LOGIS portal integration systems.
• Generate payment reports, maintain financial records and update accruals and payables.
• Compile monthly supplier reconciliations and handle payment‑related queries.
• Maintain an effective filing system and draft standard letters, memos and submissions as required.

Required profile

• Grade 12 certificate or NQF Level 4 equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience (or entry‑level candidates).
• Reliable, honest, organised and self‑motivated.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of LOGIS system.
• Familiarity with BAS processes.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel).
• Basic accounting and numerical skills.
• General computer literacy.
