Strategy Planning & Execution

About the role

Support and contribute to the execution of strategic planning activities for the Finance Business Unit, including industry research, trend analysis and preparation of strategic documents.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct industry research, environmental scans and benchmark analyses, collating global trend insights.
• Organise strategy engagement sessions – scheduling, logistics, agenda preparation and distribution of pre‑reading material.
• Prepare strategic planning submission templates, guidelines and overview documents incorporating gathered insights.
• Develop periodic points of view on BCX strategic posture for internal and external EXCO presentations.
• Facilitate Enterprise and Business Unit operational planning workshops and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
• Assist Business Units in aligning operational plans with Enterprise strategic priorities.
• Prepare performance scorecards for EXCO members and validate achieved outcomes.
• Manage knowledge‑exchange forums and act as a strategy champion.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience, with at least 2 years in a strategy‑focused role.
• NQF Level 6 – 3‑year Degree/Diploma/National Diploma in Commerce or Economics.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to work extended hours when required.
• Experience in management consulting or corporate strategy is preferred.
