Fiduciary Specialist Assistant

About the role

The Fiduciary Specialist Assistant provides high‑quality administrative, operational and sales support to the Fiduciary Specialist team. The role ensures efficient client process management, accurate data handling and timely follow‑ups, enhancing client experience and supporting revenue retention while maintaining compliance with legislative and internal governance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver proactive client service, maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, and communicate updates professionally.
• Provide end‑to‑end administrative support including document preparation, data capture, case tracking and diary management.
• Follow up on outstanding client documentation, assist with onboarding and maintenance of fiduciary services.
• Support sales activities by preparing proposals, reports and facilitating seamless client journeys.
• Monitor revenue and costs, help achieve targeted cost‑to‑income ratios and ensure adherence to financial standards.
• Support compliance with SARS requirements, tax documentation, and Master of the High Court trust processes, ensuring statutory standards are met.
• Contribute to a high‑performance team culture, participate in learning initiatives and support employment equity objectives.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Finance, Investment Management, Law or Commerce (Diploma or Degree preferred).
• Minimum 3 years experience in fiduciary services, trust administration, wealth or financial services administrative support.
• Experience in a regulated client‑servicing environment.
• Basic understanding of trust structures.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FAIS, FICA and the Trust Property Control Act.
• Familiarity with SARS tax compliance and related documentation.
• Understanding of Master of the High Court trust documentation processes.
