Branch Advisor (FAIS) – Customer Service & Financial Advice

About the role

Provide a positive customer experience by being helpful and sensitive to customer transactional needs and expectations, while educating customers on the correct channels. As a Branch Advisor at FNB Points of Presence, you will deliver compliant, professional financial advice in a high‑volume branch environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage long‑term client relationships to support retention and growth.
• Educate customers on the appropriate banking platform (eChannels and Self Service) aligned with their needs.
• Analyze customer data and provide financial advice and solutions in line with FAIS requirements.
• Maintain accurate and complete client records and documentation.
• Achieve individual and branch sales and service targets while adhering to FAIS, FICA, and TCF principles.
• Manage leads, referrals, and client follow‑ups within agreed turnaround times.
• Conduct yourself ethically, show empathy, and stay updated on industry trends.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: Grade 12 / NQF Level 4; Preferred: NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service, or related fields.
• 1–3 years of experience in customer‑facing environments within financial services.
• Strong understanding of FAIS, TCF, and client‑centric advice principles.
• Proven ability to meet sales, service, and compliance targets.
• Client‑focused, ethical approach with persuasive selling skills.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organization abilities.
