F&B Floor Manager

About the role

Babylonstoren seeks a passionate, energetic and detail‑driven F&B Floor Manager to lead the daily guest experience on a busy restaurant floor. The ideal candidate loves people, food and service, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily floor operations during service to ensure a smooth, warm and professional guest experience.
• Support, guide and motivate the front‑of‑house team before, during and after service.
• Maintain strong communication between the floor, kitchen, bar, hosts and management.
• Read the floor actively and identify service risks before they become guest complaints.
• Handle guest feedback, special requests and service recovery calmly and professionally.
• Ensure tables, service areas, menus, uniforms and ambience are consistently neat and polished.
• Assist with group bookings, special occasions and high‑volume service periods.
• Uphold hygiene, health and safety, cleanliness and 5S standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in restaurant floor management, hospitality supervision or a similar front‑of‑house leadership role.
• Strong food and beverage knowledge with a genuine interest in hospitality.
• Excellent Afrikaans and English communication skills.
• Natural warmth, confidence and strong guest interaction abilities.
• Ability to remain calm, focused and solutions‑driven under pressure.
