Faculty Officer – Academic Administration

About the role

The Faculty Officer provides essential administrative support to the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, ensuring smooth academic operations and high‑quality service delivery. Reporting to the Faculty Manager, the role combines timetable coordination, curriculum support, and governance responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the faculty timetable and exam schedules.
• Arrange teaching venues in collaboration with venue management.
• Draft, coordinate and obtain sign‑off for Service Level Agreements.
• Update the faculty calendar and manage curriculum training for stakeholders.
• Act as governance officer for the Academic Planning Committee.
• Coordinate all administrative tasks related to academic planning and curriculum management.
• Handle marks administration, enquiry management, committee administration, marketing and recruitment activities, and general administration.

Required profile

• Degree or National Diploma (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a higher‑education environment.
• Self‑motivated, committed, competent and suitably qualified.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience with committee administration (advantageous).
