Factory Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Factory Manager to lead production, maintenance and team performance at our Cape Town manufacturing facility. The role demands a hands‑on leader with strong commercial awareness who can drive efficiency while upholding quality, safety and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all production and maintenance operations.
• Drive operational efficiencies and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
• Manage production output, quality and performance targets.
• Lead and develop factory teams and operational structures.
• Monitor inventory, operational costs and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards.
• Prepare reporting, budgeting and operational planning.
• Collaborate closely with senior management and operational stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum 10 years’ management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Experience in FMCG or similar manufacturing sectors (advantageous).
• Excellent analytical, operational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a high‑pressure environment.
