External Project Quality Specialist

About the role

The External Project Quality Specialist will act as the Subject Matter Expert for Project Quality across the Africa Zone, supporting Project and Zitec teams. The role ensures that all commercialization projects comply with AB InBev’s Quality and Food Safety governance, overseeing third‑party co‑packers and managing supplier audits throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

• Travel across Rest of Africa markets to provide governance and operational oversight of third‑party co‑packers producing AB InBev brands.
• Conduct supplier audits to verify adherence to food safety and regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with the Quality Export/Import Policy and all quality standards for new product, co‑packing, and cross‑brewing projects.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor quality activities according to the VPO Quality Pillar and project schedules.
• Validate project quality facilities, including food‑safety equipment accreditation and laboratory installations.
• Develop budget worksheets, allocate resources, and support technical quality assistance during start‑up and go‑live phases.
• Manage product quarantine during commercial phases and drive continuous improvement using the PDCA method.
• Monitor adherence to global import/export quality policies and new product release protocols.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems.
• Experience with audit procedures and supplier management in the beverage or food industry.
• Ability to travel extensively across Africa and work with diverse stakeholders.
• Basic understanding of process equipment for beer, soft drinks, and bottling lines.
