External Account Manager

About the role

Axiz is looking for a dynamic External Account Manager to grow its reseller partner portfolio within the competitive IT distribution market. You will be responsible for driving sales, building strong partner relationships, and delivering revenue targets in the Johannesburg region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and close new sales opportunities while expanding existing reseller accounts.
• Develop and execute targeted sales initiatives to increase market penetration.
• Manage and nurture relationships with reseller partners, providing product education and programme support.
• Collaborate with internal teams – Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Support and Product Management – to align vendor programmes with partner goals.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates and business reports to management and vendors.
• Analyse market trends and competitive landscape to propose growth strategies.

Required profile

• Strong commercial mindset with a proven track record in sales or account management.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
• Experience in the IT distribution or technology channel environment is preferred.
