Exports Controller

About the role

The Exports Controller will join a well‑established clearing and forwarding company, overseeing all export activities to ensure smooth and compliant shipment of goods. This role is ideal for a professional with strong knowledge of export procedures and a drive for operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and verify export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to schedule shipments.
• Ensure compliance with local and international export regulations and customs requirements.
• Monitor export orders from booking to delivery, resolving any issues that arise.
• Maintain accurate export records and update internal tracking systems.
• Assist with import processes when required, providing support to the broader logistics team.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Relevant shipping certification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in export operations.
• Exposure to import processes is an advantage.
