Export Controller (Logistics & Freight Forwarding)

About the role

Join C. Steinweg Bridge as an Export Controller and play a pivotal part in moving cargo efficiently through complex supply chains. You will coordinate allocations, truck placements and dispatches while ensuring accurate, on‑time delivery for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage cargo allocations and coordinate truck loading and dispatch.
• Monitor cargo movement and provide daily status updates to customers.
• Oversee receiving processes, stock reporting and smooth warehouse operations.
• Handle shipping instructions and liaise with internal service providers.
• Track deliveries, resolve delays and maintain operational efficiency across the supply chain.
• Ensure accurate documentation, reporting and timely customer communication.
• Support warehouse housekeeping, stock control and ownership/pledging processes.
• Collaborate with customers, transporters and internal stakeholders to uphold service excellence.

Required profile

• Matric with a Diploma or Degree in Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain or Logistics.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in the freight forwarding industry.
• Strong administration and coordination background.
• Good understanding of customs procedures and supply‑chain operations.
• High level of computer literacy, especially MS Office.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong numerical and financial understanding.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and lead problem‑solving efforts.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel when required.
