Experienced Medical Technician / Laboratory Scientist

About the role

An opportunity exists for an Experienced Medical Technician/Technologist/Laboratory Scientist to join the team at the Mooimed hospital branch in Potchefstroom. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical competence, high ethics and integrity, and alignment with PathCare values.

Required profile

• 3‑year Biomedical Technology diploma, 4‑year Medical Laboratory Scientist degree or Medical Technician Certificate in Clinical Pathology
• Current HPCSA registration in Clinical Pathology
• 3‑5 years of clinical experience after HPCSA registration
• Fluent English with an understanding of Afrikaans
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Proven track record in technical and behavioural competencies

Required skills

• Computer literate with knowledge of Meditech
• Understanding of Material Management systems
• Experience developing and implementing technical procedures
• Maintaining Quality Assurance (QA) systems
