Clinical Data Associate - Base

About the role

iQVIA is looking for a base-level Clinical Data Associate in Bloemfontein. The role covers comprehensive data management across the full study lifecycle, from study start-up through execution, database lock and close-out.

Key responsibilities

• Review data, generate queries and resolve them
• Create eCRF completion guidelines, enter test data for eCRFs and the Data Review Model, and test data validation rules
• Perform ongoing data reconciliation of all data streams
• Attend study-related meetings and teleconferences
• Carry out study closeout and archiving activities, including quality control of subject and site archival CRFs
• Create and provide status and metric reports, and report on EDC and track cleaning progress
• Manage the freeze and lock of eCRFs
• File documentation in the virtual Trial Master File (TMF)
• Receive and enter laboratory normal ranges

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a health or science discipline with experience in clinical research
• Data management experience and experience on a clinical trial are mandatory
• Rave experience is mandatory
• Experience working in highly diverse, cross-functional, global and multi-regional teams
• 1-3 years of data management experience at a CRO or pharmaceutical company

Required skills

• Knowledge of industry standards such as CDISC, SDTM and CDASH for advanced CDA
• Knowledge of technology platforms and systems used to capture and process data
• Project management and vendor management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
