Experienced Debtors Clerk (Afrikaans Speaking) – Matric Required

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Debtors Clerk who is fluent in Afrikaans to join our finance team in Johannesburg. The role involves accurate processing of invoices, payments and maintaining debtor records while providing professional client service.

Key responsibilities

• Capture customer invoices and payments in the accounting system.
• Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts and follow up on overdue balances.
• Process invoices, receipts, credit notes and maintain up‑to‑date debtor ledgers.
• Achieve collection targets, reduce debtor days and manage overdue accounts.
• Prepare ageing reports and ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent (NQF Level 4).
• Minimum 1 year experience in accounting, debtors or related financial functions.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients in both Afrikaans and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel).
• Experience using accounting software for invoice and payment processing.
