About the role
The Mathabeng Local Municipality is seeking an innovative, self‑driven Executive Director of Infrastructure to provide strategic technical direction and leadership for public works and basic services.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic technical direction, advice, and leadership to public works and basic services components and the Municipality.
- Ensure compliance with functional plans and practices and maintain discipline across related disciplines.
- Oversee technical capability of resource pools, leverage knowledge from third parties and integrate technical solutions.
- Optimize the discipline service‑delivery value chain and maintain basic knowledge of contract law.
Required profile
- At least NQF level 7 in Engineering/B.Tech Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years senior management or programme/project management experience.
- 3–4 years professional/management‑level engineering management experience.
- Medical examination and certified copies of qualifications, ID and driver’s licence required.
