Enrolled Nurse - Medical Ward 1

About the role

Daxina Private Hospital, advertised through Lenmed, is recruiting an Enrolled Nurse for Medical Ward 1. The nurse provides direct or indirect nursing care to patients or groups of patients and works under the direct or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse or shift leader.

Key responsibilities

• Provide patient care in line with Lenmed standard operating procedures, taking responsibility for these activities under the supervision of a senior colleague.
• Carry out all unit-related duties assigned by supervisors.
• Promote and maintain good public relations with all stakeholders.
• Attend handover sessions and unit meetings, and refer queries to the supervisor or shift leader.
• Maintain a safe working environment in line with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and report faulty equipment.
• Act within the scope of practice.

Required profile

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Compliance with the SANC code for Enrolled Nurses and applicable health care legislation.
• Basic Life Support course completed by an accredited provider.
• Relevant experience in a general ICU.
• Flexibility to work varying hours and shifts.
