Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary X3 - General Ward

About the role

Kathu Private Hospital is recruiting an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary (X3) for its General Ward. The nurse provides direct or indirect nursing care to patients or groups of patients and works under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Lenmed Standard Operating Procedures and take responsibility for them under the supervision of a senior nurse
• Carry out all unit-related duties assigned by supervisors
• Promote and maintain good public relations with all stakeholders
• Attend handover sessions and unit meetings
• Refer queries to the supervisor or shift leader
• Maintain a safe working environment in line with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and report faulty equipment

Required profile

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary
• Compliance with the SANC code for enrolled nursing and applicable health care legislation
• Previous nursing experience
• Basic Life Support course completed by an accredited service provider
• Flexibility to work different hours and shifts
