Electrical Engineer – Data Centres & Critical Power

About the role

Our client, a specialist provider of data‑centre and critical‑infrastructure solutions, is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, develop and support safe, reliable and efficient electrical systems for data‑centres and critical‑power environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design LV and MV distribution, UPS, battery, generator, transformer, switchgear, ATS/STS, busbars and PDU systems for data‑centre projects.
• Prepare and review single‑line diagrams, schematics, layouts, load and cable schedules.
• Perform load analysis, cable sizing, voltage‑drop, fault‑level, protection, power‑factor and equipment‑sizing calculations.
• Develop solutions with N, N+1, N+2 and 2N redundancy and produce BOQs, scopes of work and technical specifications.
• Coordinate designs with mechanical, structural, civil and controls/BMS disciplines and support tendering, procurement and project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections, surveys, installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities.

Required profile

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Electrical Engineering (preferably Power Engineering).
• 3–7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in data‑centres, critical infrastructure or mission‑critical environments.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical system design, equipment selection, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally and internationally.
