DTP Operator - Flexographic Printing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DTP Operator to join a well‑established print business that specializes in FMCG, cosmetics and pharmaceutical packaging and labels. The role focuses on preparing production‑ready artwork for digital UV inkjet and flexographic printing, ensuring high‑quality output for a variety of label and flexible packaging formats.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare artwork for digital UV inkjet and flexographic printing.
• Typeset, layout and paginate designs for self‑adhesive labels, peel‑and‑read labels, booklet labels, shrink sleeves and flexible packaging.
• Generate digital files for flexographic plate production.
• Conduct pre‑flight checks, proofing, revisions and quality assurance.
• Produce contract colour proofs and verify barcodes.
• Manage artwork approval workflows using Label Traxx Siteline.
• Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure accurate, on‑time delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of DTP or prepress experience in a flexographic printing environment.
• Proven ability to prepare files for flexographic plate production.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant qualification in Graphic Design, DTP or Prepress is advantageous.
