Assembly Designer

About the role

We are seeking an Assembly Designer to create accurate, production‑ready assembly drawings for structural display solutions. You will translate concepts and sketches into detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, ensuring all dimensions, materials and assembly details are clearly defined.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and prepare detailed assembly, structural and production‑ready drawings.
• Translate design concepts, sketches and briefs into practical CAD drawings.
• Produce 2D and 3D CAD models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Rhino.
• Collaborate with Structural Design, Production, Estimating and Traffic teams to ensure designs are manufacturable.
• Review drawings for accuracy, functionality, tolerances and ease of assembly.
• Identify potential design or production issues and propose solutions.
• Maintain compliance with company drawing standards and quality requirements.
• Conduct basic checks on dimensions, fit, alignment and component compatibility.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology, Product Design, or Industrial Design.
• 1–2 years of experience in a drawing office, structural design studio, architectural practice or similar environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino).
• Basic experience with Adobe Creative Suite (advantage).
• Familiarity with prototype building and finishing techniques (beneficial).
