Driver & Warehouse Team Leader

About the role

Spidex Express is seeking a results‑driven leader to manage both last‑mile delivery drivers and warehouse operations across South Africa. The role combines driver team leadership with hands‑on warehouse supervision to ensure parcels are processed and delivered safely, on time and to the required service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard and schedule delivery drivers; allocate parcels and routes; monitor performance and attendance.
• Oversee daily warehouse receiving, scanning, sorting and dispatch; coordinate with drivers to ensure timely parcel hand‑over.
• Track delivery performance, handle exceptions, and maintain accurate parcel records.
• Manage warehouse staff, enforce safety and cleanliness standards, and prepare operational reports.

Required profile

• Previous experience in courier, logistics or fleet operations; driver‑team management is an advantage.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem‑solving abilities; good knowledge of local road networks.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet daily targets and maintain discipline.
• Minimum Grade 12 qualification; supply‑chain or logistics certificate is a plus.
