Director of Software

About the role

The Director of Software will lead a high‑performing software function that designs, builds, and delivers client‑facing solutions across multiple industries. Reporting to senior leadership, you will own both the technology roadmap and its translation into measurable business value for external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategy for custom software platforms that solve real business challenges.
• Lead, mentor, and scale engineering teams while ensuring delivery quality and timeliness.
• Collaborate directly with clients, stakeholders, and executive leadership to align technical solutions with commercial objectives.
• Manage multiple projects, delivery pipelines, and resource allocations simultaneously.
• Balance technical excellence with cost, risk, and client expectations to drive profitable outcomes.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field (MBA advantageous).
• 10+ years of software development experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership or director roles.
• Proven track record delivering client‑facing software solutions in a solution‑driven environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage directly with clients and executive teams.
