Director of Academics (Remote) – $400k/year

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a senior academic leader to drive the execution of its evidence‑based learning model across multiple school environments. This remote position combines strategic oversight with public advocacy, translating learning science into actionable curriculum and operational practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop academic frameworks that turn learning science into concrete curriculum design, motivation architecture, and application development.
• Conduct execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and results‑driven performance.
• Integrate data, stakeholder interviews, and observations into ecosystem assessments to pinpoint obstacles and recommend targeted interventions.
• Maintain strategic alignment through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone monitoring focused on student learning objectives.
• Represent 2 Hour Learning externally at senior levels, delivering keynote presentations and engaging with Ministries of Education to promote systemic reform.

Required profile

• Proven track record of leading academic initiatives that deliver measurable student outcomes.
• Experience scaling educational models across multiple sites and raising leadership performance standards.
• Strong public speaking skills and ability to advocate for evidence‑based education to senior stakeholders.
• Advanced degree in education, learning science, or a related field.
