Direct Response Video Editor

About the role

Linear Agency is hiring a performance-driven Direct Response Video Editor. The role is hybrid: video is the core, but the ability to design static creatives adds speed and output. Clients need both video and static ads to test fast and scale what works, and weekly testing cycles call for high-volume creatives.

Key responsibilities

• Edit short-form direct response video ads for Meta, TikTok and other platforms, including UGC, testimonials, product demos and founder-led content
• Create multiple video variations (hooks, CTAs, angles) for testing, using tools such as CapCut and Premiere
• Craft scripts and write copy for video concepts
• Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Runway, Pika, Descript) to speed up workflows
• Design high-converting static ad creatives for paid social, using templates and systems such as Butter, Creative OS and Foreplay
• Turn competitor inspiration and swipe files into on-brand ads and create multiple variations (headlines, layouts, offers)
• Work with strategists and the growth team, source and organise assets, and iterate quickly based on performance and feedback

Required profile

• 2+ years editing direct-response video ads for DTC brands
• Strong portfolio of high-performing paid social video ads
• Solid experience creating static ads for Meta
• Strong understanding of performance marketing (hooks, CTAs, angles)
• Experience writing or adapting copy for ad creatives
• Familiarity with AI tools and ability to work fast on multiple projects
• Strong English communication skills

Required skills

• Editing tool proficiency: CapCut, Premiere and/or After Effects
• Working knowledge of Photoshop
• Nice to have: motion graphics, Creative OS, Foreplay, Butter or AdCreative.ai, and understanding of funnels, offers and paid social strategy
