DevSecOps Engineer (Hybrid, Cape Town)

About the role

The DevSecOps Engineer will build and operate secure development and deployment platforms that enable product engineering teams to deliver software safely, efficiently, and reliably. Working within the Developer Experience (DevEx) capability, the role embeds security directly into engineering workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for product engineering teams.
• Integrate automated security checks, vulnerability scanning and secret management into build and deployment workflows.
• Support engineering teams with secure release processes and deployment strategies.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging and observability for development, staging and production environments.
• Ensure platform stability, operational resilience and secure configuration across Azure cloud services.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps or Platform Engineering.
• Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services.
• Strong background in automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Experience embedding security controls into delivery pipelines and supporting production environments.
