DevSecOps Engineer – Hybrid (Cape Town)

About the role

The DevSecOps Engineer will design, build and operate secure development and deployment platforms for our product engineering teams. Working within the Developer Experience (DevEx) capability, you will embed security directly into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments to enable safe, efficient and reliable software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines used by engineering squads.
• Integrate automated security checks, vulnerability scanning and dependency analysis into build and release workflows.
• Support teams with secure release processes, secret management and troubleshooting of production issues.
• Build and manage infrastructure‑as‑code automation for development, staging and production environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability solutions to ensure platform stability and resilience.
• Continuously improve pipeline performance, reliability and security controls.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps or Platform Engineering.
• Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Strong background in automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Experience embedding security controls and supporting engineering teams in production.
