DevOps Engineer

About the role

The Skills Mine is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for our clients. This senior‑level role will involve close collaboration with development teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and related automation frameworks.
• Utilise Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation to provision and manage AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform resources.
• Develop and maintain containerised workloads with Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure high availability and performance of applications and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and performance issues.
• Apply security best practices throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle.
• Document processes, configurations, and procedures to promote consistency across environments.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in DevOps engineering and cloud technologies.
• Strong expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration concepts.
