Deputy Head of Production Pharmacist – EU GMP Cannabis

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Deputy Head of Production Pharmacist to support the Head of Production in a specialised EU‑GMP compliant cannabis pharmaceutical facility. Reporting directly to senior management, the role ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance and high‑quality product delivery for international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee manufacturing and packaging of cannabis products in line with EU‑GMP, GACP and other regulatory standards.
• Approve and enforce SOPs, maintain audit readiness and act as primary support during regulatory audits.
• Ensure accurate completion, review and signing of production records and manage equipment qualification and maintenance.
• Lead equipment and process validation activities and participate in quality management reviews.
• Plan and manage production schedules, monitor costs and implement cost‑saving strategies while maintaining product quality.
• Mentor and develop multidisciplinary production teams, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Logistics and Cultivation teams to resolve operational issues.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a senior production role within a GMP‑certified pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong knowledge of EU‑GMP, GACP and related local and international regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large‑scale production operations and lead cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and resilience in a high‑pressure, regulated setting.
