About the role
We are looking for a motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at One&Only Cape Town. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will help deliver high‑quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, cost control and guest satisfaction in a vibrant resort kitchen.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and execute mise‑en‑place and menu items according to standard operating procedures.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation and hygiene standards throughout the outlet kitchen.
- Monitor and control food costs, inventory levels and equipment maintenance.
- Supervise, train and motivate junior kitchen staff to ensure consistent service quality.
- Coordinate with other departments for seamless service during daily operations and special events.
- Communicate guest feedback to the chef and management to continuously improve food and service quality.
- Assist in scheduling kitchen staff based on forecasted demand.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a hotel or resort kitchen, preferably at a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie level.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑standards environment.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
