Demand & Supply Planning Manager (Demand Planner)

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized Demand & Supply Planning Manager to lead end‑to‑end product supply and inventory management for our South African subsidiary. The role bridges the factory in China, local sales teams, and major retail channels, ensuring the right products are available at the right time while meeting all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full PSI (Purchase, Sales, Inventory) process for the South Africa market, coordinating production planning, order placement, and shipment tracking with factories.
• Manage inventory health, optimise stock levels and minimise obsolescence risk.
• Serve as the primary operations contact for key retail channels such as Takealot, Fair Price and OK Furniture, providing inventory visibility, delivery schedules and allocation plans.
• Handle order processing, logistics coordination and after‑sales parts management for these channels.
• Lead product introductions, ensuring compliance with South African customs and regulatory standards and obtaining required certificates (NRCS, SABS, LOA, ICASA, etc.).
• Consolidate product specifications, marketing materials and technical data, translating them into actionable sales tools for local teams and channel partners.
• Act as liaison between global product teams and local sales to align on product launches and specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations or import/export, preferably in consumer electronics, home appliances or retail.
• Deep knowledge of the South African retail landscape, especially Takealot, Fair Price and OK Furniture.
• Proven experience obtaining electrical compliance certifications (NRCS/LOA or similar) in South Africa.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is a strong plus.
• Adaptable mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and able to wear multiple hats in a start‑up environment.
