Documents Controller Internship – Fresh Produce Export

About the role

This internship offers a hands‑on opportunity to join a leading fresh‑produce export company in Stellenbosch. You will support the coordination of international air‑freight shipments and gain exposure to the fast‑paced world of post‑harvest fruit logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer air‑freight export shipments, preparing invoices, packing lists, airway bills and other required documents.
• Liaise daily with freight forwarders, airlines, growers, packhouses and customers to ensure smooth product movement.
• Monitor shipment schedules, communicate flight bookings, updates and any delays to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, filing systems and operational reports.
• Support compliance with destination market requirements and customer‑specific export protocols.

Required profile

• BSc or BCom degree in Marketing, Logistics, Agricultural Economics or Agriculture.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• High computer literacy with strong administrative attention to detail.
• Ability to organise, analyse information and meet strict deadlines under pressure.
• SA citizenship, under 30 years old; preference for candidates from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.
