Debtors Manager

About the role

The Debtors Manager will lead the debtors function for a national white‑goods distributor, ensuring accurate, efficient and timely processing of dealer claims in the Wynberg (Sandton) area. This senior position oversees a sizable team and a large debtor portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve dealer claims, maintaining high accuracy and speed.
• Lead a team of at least 20 staff members, providing direction and performance management.
• Oversee a debtor book valued at R360 million or more.
• Handle HR and industrial relations matters for the team.
• Coordinate with the retail and distribution network nationwide.

Required profile

• Relevant B‑degree or National Diploma completed.
• 5–7 years of debtors management experience, preferably in a distribution business handling imported products sold to warehouses, dealers or retailers.
• Proven experience leading a team of 20+ people.
• Experience managing large debtor portfolios (R360 M+).
• Strong understanding of the retail sector on a national level.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas.
