Debtors Clerk – Pipeline

About the role

The Debtors Clerk will be responsible for managing the full debtors function, ensuring that customer accounts are accurately maintained, invoices and credit notes are processed correctly and collections are effectively managed within agreed credit terms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full debtors function and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date customer accounts.
• Ensure customer accounts are managed within approved credit terms and limits.
• Follow up and collect outstanding payments promptly to ensure effective debt collection.
• Process customer invoices and credit notes accurately.
• Ensure Proof of Delivery documentation is received and dispatched orders are invoiced correctly and timely.
• Prepare and submit the monthly Group Accounts on Hold register.
• Maintain accurate customer records and distribute weekly statements.
• Prepare and review customer age analysis reports and resolve account queries.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Debtors Clerk or similar role.
• Sound understanding of the full debtors function, including collections, invoicing and account reconciliations.
• 1–2 years’ experience using Sage 200 Evolution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Previous experience within FMCG, Fast Food or Retail sector is advantageous.
