Data & Power BI Engineer

About the role

The Data & Power BI Engineer will join the BSC Reporting team responsible for PowerBI reporting and business intelligence across the African Zone. You will partner with business stakeholders to enhance visibility of key performance indicators and support the reporting ecosystem in multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the existing portfolio of PowerBI reports and dashboards.
• Develop new PowerBI desktop solutions, KPI scorecards, and visual reports.
• Automate report generation using PowerBI and complementary reporting tools.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Design data models that convert raw data into actionable insights.
• Create technical documentation, charts, and data dictionaries.
• Implement role‑level security and manage PowerBI security layers.
• Integrate, transform, and connect to diverse data sources for BI purposes.

Required profile

• 3‑year university degree in Commerce, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with reporting and analytics technologies.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time and communicate effectively with global stakeholders.
• Experience in FMCG environments is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑moving, agile setting.
