Data Monitor

About the role

Aurum Group is looking for a Data Monitor in Brits, North West, South Africa, on a contract basis. The role is responsible for the ongoing analysis of health care information collected from a variety of sources, supporting accountability and efficiency across all programmes (Decanting, 1st 90 and Clinical Associates) and projects, new and established.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse health care information from many sources and turn raw data into the information required.
• Define problems, collect data, establish patterns and draw valid conclusions.
• Interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, including abstract and concrete variables.
• Perform calculations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, and compute rates, ratios and percentages.
• Create and interpret graphs, analyse file structures and create file layouts.
• Interpret different types and sources of health care information and generate detailed reports using complex data.

Required profile

• Grade 12; a relevant diploma or bachelor's degree is advantageous.
• At least 2-3 years of data capturing experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in the health industry.
• Current and relevant references for background checks.
• Driver's licence and own vehicle.
• All appointments are subject to security clearance, reference checking and competency assessment.

• Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Computer and programming skills.
