About the role

The Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality is seeking a Data Capturer on a three‑year fixed‑term contract within the Public Works & Basic Services – Civil department. The role involves capturing and maintaining statistical information, supporting office functions, and updating reports.

Key responsibilities

Updating monthly non‑financial report.
Capturing information, maintaining statistical records and providing general office support.
Receiving, collating, batching and checking source documentation before capture.
Performing data capture tasks.
Maintaining the filing system.
Handling telephonic queries.
Typing and updating the implementation plan.

Required profile

Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
Minimum three years of relevant experience.
Proven experience with MIS (Municipal Infrastructure System) and MIG (Municipal Infrastructure Grant).
Computer literacy.

What we offer

Salary of R8 500 per month (R102 000 per annum).
