Data Analyst I

About the role

We are looking for an energetic, self‑motivated Data Analyst I to unlock value from data and provide actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making across our banking organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Transform raw data into meaningful information for stakeholders.
• Identify trends, patterns and opportunities to drive business performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as finance, marketing and IT to gather requirements and deliver data‑driven insights.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to non‑technical audiences.
• Maintain data quality through cleaning and validation processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical, data or technical field (Honours degree preferred).
• Experience in data analysis, preferably within financial services or retail.
• Exposure to financial products, services and market trends.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and present insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Clear criminal and credit record.

Required skills

• SQL – basic commands and queries.
• Excel – functions, pivot tables and formulas.
• Data visualization tools – Power BI or similar.
• Programming – Python or R (basic).
• Statistical concepts and descriptive statistics.
• Data cleaning techniques.
