Customer Service Clerk – Johannesburg

About the role

Teleflex is seeking a Customer Service Clerk to join its Johannesburg team. You will be the first point of contact for internal and external customers, handling orders, returns, and product inquiries while ensuring a professional and efficient service experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process orders received via email, web interface, EDI and other channels.
• Arrange collections of returns, issue credit notes and handle product samples, replacements and complaints.
• Send invoices, proof of delivery, credit notes and back‑order letters to customers.
• Log service errors and queries in the Singlepoint system.
• Coordinate with warehouse, monitor delivery performance and support sales and accounts receivable.
• Provide recall and MyTeleflex support, attend relevant meetings and training.
• Back‑up colleagues during absences and manage the Customer Service mailbox on a rotating basis.
• Maintain departmental tracker documents and ensure accurate inventory handling.

Required profile

• Matric qualification; a business or related tertiary qualification is desirable.
• Experience in a fast‑paced customer service environment, preferably within a multinational company.
• Strong attention to detail, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self‑starter attitude with the ability to work independently and within a multicultural team.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP (advantageous).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Familiarity with EDI and Singlepoint systems.
