Credit Controller / Assistant Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller / Assistant Accountant to join SOLEVO, a leading distributor of chemicals and agricultural inputs in Africa. The role provides end‑to‑end finance administration across accounts receivable, accounts payable, imports, fixed assets and inter‑company functions while ensuring data integrity in Microsoft Dynamics.

Key responsibilities

• Manage foreign supplier master data, request foreign‑exchange coverage and allocate import‑related costs.
• Handle AR duties: respond to customer queries, issue invoices, prepare statements, allocate receipts and chase overdue balances.
• Support AP processes: create purchase orders, capture supplier invoices, resolve discrepancies, prepare payment journals and maintain supplier balances.
• Administer fixed‑asset acquisitions, capture invoices and assist with asset tracking.
• Create and process Jira requests for customer and supplier master‑data changes.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit control or assistant accounting within a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Good communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external partners.
