Cosmetic Quality Controller

About the role

Rain Natural Skincare is seeking a diligent, practical, and detail‑oriented Cosmetic Quality Controller to join its factory team in Paarl. The role supports quality assurance and control throughout manufacturing and packing, ensuring products, processes and records meet internal standards, ISO 9001, GMP and health‑and‑safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑process and finished‑product quality checks, verifying specifications, laboratory results, appearance and fill quantities.
• Identify, isolate and prevent release of non‑conforming products.
• Review manufacturing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain electronic and hard‑copy quality records, including equipment calibration and staff competency files.
• Investigate non‑conformances, record findings and support corrective‑preventive actions.
• Monitor recurring quality issues and drive improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Track raw material, packaging and finished‑product expiry dates and communicate relevant information.
• Coordinate handling and documentation of expired, damaged, recalled or quality‑affected stock.
• Ensure housekeeping, hygiene and orderliness on the factory floor.
• Support workplace health‑and‑safety compliance, including PPE checks and safety records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, cosmetic science, chemical or industrial engineering, or quality management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately on the factory floor and with documentation.
• Ownership mindset and ability to communicate quality concerns clearly.

What we offer

• Remuneration bracket of R15,000 – R25,000 per month (CTC), based on qualifications and experience.
